The living area is open and cozy with kitchen, dining and living areas together. The living room features a Vermont Castings green enamel, glass-front wood stove (gas) with wonderful flame and warmth. Two couches, a comfortable chair and a small rocker surround an antique Japanese table. TV, VCR, CD/Cassette stereo, bookshelves and a game cabinet complete the room.

Kitchen:
Full kitchen has oak cabinets, forest green counter tops, and a hard wood floor. Appliances include range, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, coffee pot, toaster, and garbage disposal. All are clean and in excellent condition. Cupboards are stocked with spices and staples such as flour, sugar, vegetable oil, ketchup, mustard, coffee beans, teas and hot chocolate. Shelves are full of cookbooks. Napkins, paper towels, foil, garbage bags, etc. are provided.

Master bedroom:
Winter and Summer the cool crisp mountain air lends itself to the cozy down comforter and excellent quality linens. An exquisite framed silk Chinese tapestry hangs by the bed which has an intricately carved red laquer headboard. Brass halogen reading lights are on each side of the bed. A full-sized futon couch covered in a deep plaid provides extra sleeping space for additional guests. Bath has separate vanity/dressing area. Glass door opens onto a private patio.
Twin bedroom:
The second bedroom has twin beds which may be arranged together or apart by request. An antique dresser and rattan "king chair" complete this room. Beds have down comforters with handsome navy covers. A rustic antique linen Japanese wall hanging fills one wall of this peaceful room.
Laundry room:
A full-sized stacked washer/dryer and large utility sink are available in a large laundry closet in the hallway. Laundry soap and fabric softener are provided.
Hot Tub:
The vacation unit has a private front deck with a beautiful 6-person hot tub. A small lawn is in front of the deck. The chalet sits up on a hill, so the road is not visible from the deck. Rather, you look across at an evergreen covered hillside and to the West, you look up at National Forest mountains and upper ski area slopes.
Setting:
Burgess Creek road is one of the best kept secrets on the Ski mountain. The peaceful wide canyon is covered in evergreens which slope up into National Forrest mountains. The road winds 1.5 miles from the base area up the mountain to Cleftstone Chalet and on up another half mile to the Thunderhead Express ski lift. The setting feels as if you are miles away from everything, while in reality you are minutes from restaurants, shops and the Gondola.
